Robertson scored his second goal of the season with a redirection on a shot by Buhr. Union scored two goals in the final 1:07 of the opening period to take a lead they never gave up. The Union powerplay went 3-for-4 on the night while the penalty kill went 2-for-3. Robertson was stellar on the faceoff, winning 17 of 23 draws. Seniors Chaz Smedsrud and Ben Tupker scored a goal each while junior Cole Kodsi extended his goal streak to three games.
Junior Josh Nixon and sophomore Brandon Buhr tallied a pair of helpers to round out the multi-point scoring. Juniors Caden Villegas and Cullen Ferguson and senior Liam Robertson each scored a goal and an assist. Sophomore John Prokop extended his scoring streak to seven games with a goal and two assists. Six skaters recorded a multi-point night. With the win, Union improves to 7-5-0 on the season and 3-2-0 in conference play.
